Position: Warehouse Supervisor
What is your role?
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for inventory in the warehouse, oversees and coordinates the daily warehousing activities. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and works closely with the rest of the team.
Your key responsibilities are to:
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ (loaders) performance
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
  • Coordinate timely resolution of challenges related to loading, truck turnaround time and dispatch.
  • Performs daily inventory stock take and reconciliations.
  • Employee FIFO methods of the goods
  • Coordinate with Sales, Production and Dispatch on customer orders, lead-time and delivery
  • Determine staffing (loaders) levels and assign workload
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
What do we expect from you?
  • Bachelor of Degree of Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar field.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency and the ability to input, retrieve and analyse large volumes of data.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
