Koudijs Uganda Animal Nutritional Lab is a high-tech lab that majors in scanning feed and feed stuff for farmers and feed millers. We are part of a network of 94 labs globally which gives us more leverage in understanding of feed quality.
Our current major role in Uganda is to facilitate analysis of raw materials for farmers but also provide Ugandan based feedstuff nutritional profile data for customized formulation. Many farmers have made decisions on which raw materials to buy based on analysis results always assured of value for money. The principle of feed production is garbage in garbage out, the quality of raw materials mixed to make feed will highly determine the output of any farm.

Feed Testing Laboratory for Farmers & Millers
We also scan complete feed for farmers and feed millers that wish to know their mixed feed nutritional profiles. This helps them determine if the mixed feed nutritional profiles match expected nutritional profiles for specific diets. What has been observed in Uganda in the last four years is that most farmers treat feed sampling and analysis as an emergency activity that is sample feed when there are issues on farm rather than incorporating feed and feed stuff testing as a routine farm practice. Every time you wait to have issues on farm before you sample you lose in many fronts.
